What is 2012?

Throughout history, humanity has looked to chronological signposts to help us predict and make order of the universe. Perhaps the greatest signpost of the current millennium is fast approaching. This signpost, revealed by the ancient Mayan Long Count Calendar and many other ancient traditions is the year 2012. This Conference will show that these many ancient traditions are saying that the Great Shift of the ages is at hand.

Analogy

There is an analogy to our current situation and to the changes that a caterpillar goes through when it enters its cocoon. The process of change begins when a new type of cell starts forming that is alien to the caterpillar's immune system. This causes the caterpillar's immune system to attack these new cells and it's only after the new cells have become numerous enough and begin connecting with each other that they are able to ward off the attack and complete the cycle. At that moment, the caterpillar has transformed into a butterfly and is now capable of soaring.

New Approach Needed

Currently there are many new “cells” of ideas coming forth that are being looked upon as alien and harmful to our established ways of thinking. A quote attributed to Einstein says that we cannot solve a problem at the same level of thinking that created it. Our present moment is both a time of crises and a time of unprecedented opportunities. Which path will we choose?

Purpose of the Conference

Many new ideas and concepts will be presented at this conference. With our economy, ecology and world in crisis and with a new administration and Congress, we feel this is a pivotal moment for offering alternative approachs to finding solutions to these challenges. Transformational solutions must come from a transformational mind!
